Ingredients
170g plain flour
- 150g soft brown sugar
- 50g cocoa powder
- 150ml milk
- 50g butter, melted
- 100g dark chocolate
- 55g soft brown sugar
- 400ml hot milk cream
You will also need:
- 1kg loaf tin
- mixing bowl
- shallow roasting tin
- deep serving dish

- Grease the loaf tin.
- Preheat the oven to //gas mark
- Mix the flour and the first amount of sugar () with half the cocoa powder.
- Beat in the milk and melted butter.
- Break the chocolate into rough pieces and stir into the mixture.
- Pour into the loaf tin.
- Sprinkle the second amount of sugar (g) and the other half of the cocoa powder over the mixture.
- Pour hot milk over it, place the loaf tin in a shallow roasting tin and bake for hour minutes. It is ready when the top feels crusty.
- Carefully turn the whole thing out into a deep serving dish and eat it with cream while still hot.
- NB. You can replace the dark chocolate with white chocolate if you prefer, or do a mixture of the two.
