iVillage UK is headed up by a General Manager (Fraser Maclellan), who has five department heads (Sales, Marketing/Business Development, Community, Editorial and Technology). Ad Specifications

Audio must be user-initiated and never automatic.

Audio insertion into Flash file may begin no earlier than the second frame.

If audio is used, creative must include an On/Off switch for users.

All DHTML creative submissions must have an accompanying default graphic that is shown to users who do not have IE 4.0 or higher

Animation is limited to first 15 seconds, looping is unlimited within 15 seconds. Use animation carefully - Keep animation smooth and fluid, using slow motion and gentle fades. Fast and abrupt motion is highly irritating. Avoid experiences that 'break through' the page or abuse the content.

Flash Ffiles require an FSCommand or ClickTAG (clickTAG or clickTag format only) to be embedded in the file. For the Click through URL advertisers/agencies should insert "clickTAG" (Do not include Quotes)

Rich Media Advertising

The above represent iVillage’s general specification parameters which all submitted third party served rich media must conform to. Specific creative build specifications must be provided by your third party rich media vendor. All expanding rich media running on iVillage must be Third Party Served.
Panel User Control
1. Mouse Over (or click) to Open/Mouse Off to Close
When a user passes a mouse over the creative, the panel expands; the panel retracts when the mouse is removed.
2. Close Button
a. Panel or display ad must feature a close button (16pt font: “Close X”) that closes the panel with a user’s click.
Other Specifications
Creative must feature a 1 pixel border (gray [#666666] or black recommended, though any colour that clearly distinguishes the ad from the content may be used).
Animation and Looping Limit: Allowed ; Duration: 15 sec, Loop Limit: Unlimited, Video Duration: 30 sec
Audio
Available on user click or mouse-over. Off by default.
If initiated by mouse-over:
There must be a one-second delay.
Audio must cease when user mouse’s off creative.
Audio mute button control required.
Allowed on user click only; Duration: 30 sec
Video
Host-initiated video may be used in any portion of the experience.
Video duration: 30 seconds max. Replay allowed with user initiation.
Stop and Play button controls required.
Companion audio may be included with video (see audio specs above).

Competition main text: 250 - 300 words maximum plus competition question and 3 answers (one which needs to be the correct answer and ideally the answer found in the copy).

iVillage Terms & Conditions - these are mandatory and must be completed in order to go live on the iVillage site
