Written in the stars
Why Gemini Jordan belongs among the world's literary greats
If you or your child was born under the Gemini star sign (May 22 - June 22), maybe it's time to start penning that first novel. A study of the horoscopes reveals the world's literary greats and best-selling novelists are twice as likely to be born a Gemini than any other star sign.
New research by Borders looked at the birth dates and horoscopes of more than 150 leading fictional writers. While the star signs of authors were typically evenly distributed there was a disproportionate spike of 27 Geminis, including Geoffrey Chaucer, Salman Rushdie, Ian Fleming, Jodi Picoult and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. The list also featured Katie Price (aka Jordan), who has just released her second novel, Crystal.
Leos produced the significantly lowest number of famous authors with just seven. However, Borders research revealed that Leos, who are believed to be suited to careers working with children, were among Britain's most famous children's authors. Harry Potter creator J.K. Rowling, Enid Blyton and Beatrix Potter are all Leos.
In equal second place with 14 authors were Aquarius (Charles Dickens, E.M. Forster, William Burroughs) and Virgos (Stephen King, Agatha Christie, Roald Dahl, Martin Amis).
