Houses
The celestial sphere taken as a 360-degree circle and divided into twelve sections. These sections are referred to by their numbers, such as 'the First House,' 'the Second House,' etc. Houses are generally numbered counter-clockwise from the Ascendant (starting at the nine o'clock position), with the House which begins at the Ascendant known as 'the First House.' Each House speaks to a particular component of one's life.
