Atonement UK premiere

Atonement, an adaptation of Ian McEwan's best-selling novel, is set to take the box office by storm. Suffice to say, the stars came out for a glittering UK premiere in London...

As ever, Keira Knightley's appearance and choice of garment, created a buzz.
Keira, who plays Cecilia Tallis opposite James McAvoy's character Robbie Turner, looked relaxed as she mingled with the crowds.
Scottish actor James McAvoy is rapidly becoming a household name.
He delighted the female contingent in particular by lingering to sign autographs.
James and Keira eventually managed to get into the cinema...

...where they were asked to pose for more photographs!
The film also features a fine performance from Irish actress Saoirse Ronan, who plays Briony Tallis during her early years.
Vanessa Redgrave plays the part of Briony in later life.
Ian McEwan, upon whose novel the film is based, has spoken in glowing terms of director Joe Wright's interpretation of his book.
Atonement will be in UK cinemas from September 7.
