Autumn/winter beauty must-haves

This season, make-up goes glam with flashes of gold and scarlet. We take a look at the hottest make-up trends and find out how to achieve a look that's perfectly on-trend
Go for gold!
Gold was a key trend on the autumn/winter runways, in a retro-style effect. Make-up artist Ruby Hammer says: 'Metallic make-up provides instant impact and has real staying power. Used subtly it gives an all-over shimmer for both face and body'.
Ruby & Millie's Face and Body Metal (£10.50)
Apply to the cheek, brow and decolletage areas.
'Use the gold if you're wearing warmer tones, and rose gold suits all skin tones,' says Ruby Hammer. 'If you're after a dramatic effect, focus on one feature, such as cheeks and top off with a light dusting of shimmer powder. Gold can be easily adapted for day or night. A good tip is to mix gold powder with a touch of water to intensify the effect for the evening - this is great to apply around the eyes.'
