Baby and Me review: theBabaSling
We’ve been trying out the theBabaSling for the past week...
The verdict? I, we, love it! It’s brilliant.
When it first arrived it was folded nicely into a little bag, definitely small enough to pop in your handbag. Ours is teal green - a new colour for the 2013 range. And it's really pretty.
The sling came with instructions which showed you five different carrying positions baby could be in. Our favourite is the koala cuddle which is where Olivia sits cross legged in the sling and faces me so we can cuddle. It has a really padded shoulder pad which is nice.
I bought a carrier when Olivia was small as I liked the idea of carrying her around but it just didn’t work for me, whereas theBabaSling is so easy to use, and I feel that Olivia is really safe, all tucked up inside.
Olivia starts laughing and shouting at me as soon as she sees me picking it up!
TheBabaSling is really comfortable – surprising as Olivia is a big girl, not chubby, but heavy, but I can carry her for hours in it. Through no fault of the sling I do think that when I’m not quite so big it will fit me a bit better but, like I said, it’s pretty awesome already.
Apart from the benefits we all know of, research has shown that carrying a baby for 1.5 hours a day in a baby carrier reduces day time crying by 43 per cent and night time crying by 51 per cent!
I’d definitely recommend theBabaSling to all you baby parents (and parents to-be) out there. At £39.99 it’s really affordable, especially as it can be used from birth to two-years-old and also can be used as a breastfeeding scarf, which is a great idea, especially if you were like me and hated the thought of getting your boobs out in public! I only wish that I had known about theBabaSling when Olivia was a newborn.
Now, Mr Weather man please make it stop raining so we can go out and use it more!
Classic theBabaSling is £39.99; Organic is £44.99. Visit Thebabasling.com to order yours! And check them out on Facebook and Twitter @theBabaSling
