Ingredients

  • 25g butter
  • 2 large bananas, thickly sliced at an angle
  • 25g light muscovado sugar
  • 2 tbsp dark rum or to taste
  • 1 tbsp crème fraîche with a dusting of ground cinnamon (optional) to serve
Serves: 2 Preparation: 5 Cook Time: 10 Total Time: 15min whats this
 

Directions

  1. Melt the butter in a large frying pan over a medium heat.
  2. Add the bananas and cook for about minutes, turning the slices once.
  3. Tip in the sugar and stir until melted and lightly caramelised, then add the rum and allow to bubble. If you wish, carefully ignite with a match or a taper (if using a gas hob).
  4. Serve when the flames have subsided, with cr&#me fra&#che, dusted with cinnamon if you wish.
