A high fibre, vegetarian twist on a 'bowl of red', by iVillage nutritionist Dr Wynnie Chan
Ingredients
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 50g green pepper, chopped
- 300g canned tomatoes
- 100g canned haricot beans, drained
- 100g canned red kidney beans, drained
- 100g boiled green lentils
- 2 tsp chilli powder
- salt and pepper to taste

- Fry onion and garlic in oil for minutes.
- Add remaining ingredients, bring to boil and simmer for minutes.
