Tips for keeping your teeth healthy

Eat well for summer vitality

We can't stress enough how important it is to drink plenty of water. 'DRINK PLENTY OF WATER!'

We've heard it time and time again, but the point is, in summer it's even more important than ever. You become dehydrated more quickly in the sun, and then you feel tired. Your skin looks dull, your eyes lack sparkle, you have no energy...so, as a starting point, promise to drink your two litres a day. Especially if you're getting on a plane.

Eat plenty of oily fish, such as mackerel and salmon, rich in omegas 3 and 6, which help keep the brain stimulated and the skin hydrated. We should ideally eat fish four or five times a week - which tends to be easier in the summer, when we might be away in sunnier climes.

A lack of magnesium can cause the skin to look dull and tired, so ensure your diet is well-balanced with all the right vitamins and nutrients

Most of us find our nails and hair grow more quickly in warmer weather, but give them a chance to be in tip top condition, by ensuring you have plenty of calcium in your diet, as well as vitamin A and beta-carotene, a daily glass of carrot juice should do the trick.
