Shaving tips
6 steps to ensure your shave gives you smooth and long-lasting results
- Wait for 2-3 minutes after stepping in to the shower or bath before you shave. The warm water will soften your hair which causes it to expand and therefore makes it easier to shave.
- After washing legs and underarms lather on a shave gel. Try new SatinCare Radiant Apricot shave gel. Using a shaving gel not only makes it easier to see where you have already shaved, but it contains moisture-rich advanced skincare ingredients to help leave legs visibly smooth.
- To achieve a smooth shave, use a light touch and shave in the direction that feels most comfortable. If you are shaving correctly you should barely feel the razor glide over your skin. Leave hard-to-shave spots such as the back of your knees and ankles for last, allowing these areas to soak up as much lather as possible.
- Shaving your legs is a form of exfoliation and should be seen as a vital part of skincare regime. Venus Vibrance gently exfoliates by sweeping away dull dry skin; it not only gives you a fabulously close shave but also leaves your skin looking radiant and wonderfully smooth.
- A sharp razor gives the best shave, so make sure to change your blade at the first sign of dullness or discomfort. If you can't remember when you last changed the blades, it's probably time for a fresh one!
- Don't forget one final step - moisturise! After your bath or shower, towel dry and then apply a rich body cream within 5 minutes to trap vital moisture. Pay particular attention to dry areas like knees and feet.
