Bags, bags, bags
I've just started making bags with the hope of selling them in somewhere as cool and sassy as I hope they are and I wondered if you could offer me any advice on this.
I'm still a couple of months off but I wondered how you went about choosing your stockists and where you see them first...

We go all over the world (well London, Paris and New York) sourcing stuff for Jezebell which is always so much fun. We go to all the fashion week exhibitions but also specific tradeshows - buy Drapers Record for a comprehensive list of tradeshows but note that it can be really expensive to show at them initially, best to build up a few customers first.
We have lots of new designers send us stuff and we are always really glad to receive it - as a buyer it is really important you are aware of what is out there.
Get some really nice pictures taken of your bags and put together some info on them and you. Go into shops that you think you want to sell too and have a look and what brands they have there, price points, fabrics etc just so you are clued up about who you are talking to. I would then send info and images to the buyers from each of the shops.
If possible try and get some press/celebrity interest on your bags at the same time as this will definitely help grab a buyer's attention!
