Mutton dressed as lamb?
Is it still okay to buy cheap and cheerful high street fashion in your mid thirties?
miss_meerkat
Antonia O'Brien (my-wardrobe.com presenter): I am a big believer that you should wear what you feel most comfortable in. However there are some trends which are directly marketed to the teen demographic.
The high street shops such a Topshop and Primark have great and fun fashion conscious pieces. I would avoid the styles that are very trends focused, for example midriff-revealing jeans or fishnet tights.
Passing 30 does not mean the end of enjoying fashion. Buy good pieces each season, spending money on good tailoring and investment pieces such as jeans and blazers.
The tuxedo is going to be huge this autumn/winter so buy now with a pair of super-flattering universally loved J Brand Jeans, fashion forward and age appropriate.
