Detox your hair
If your hair has lost its verve, Sascha Breuer, Silvikrin Style Consultant, has some useful tips for coaxing it back to life
Problem: Product build-up
'After the excesses of the party season, your hair may be suffering from product build-up, so give your hair a pampering treat. Use a deep cleansing shampoo, and for even deeper cleaning, start off by working it into dry hair, gently massage, then comb through and rinse. Repeat with a second shampoo on wet hair, massage and rinse, leaving you with squeaky clean hair.'Problem: Dry and brittle hair
'Over-styling can often leave hair dry and prone to breakage. To combat this, apply a good conditioner or intensive conditioning mask, wrap a warm towel around the head and leave for ten minutes. Rinse thoroughly, and for extra shine, finish with a cold water rinse. When hair is dry, spray on a hydrating hairspray such as Silvikrin HydroStyle (£1.99) for supple, silky hair.'Problem: Grown out and dated style
'The end of the party season can often leave you feeling like you need a change. Refresh your look by trying a new style. Look through magazines and pick hairstyles that you like or why not try a new hairdresser to advise you on a new look? The winter period can be very damaging to your hair. A combination of the cold weather and central heating causes it to become dry much more easily. Effective preventative steps need to be taken during this season to ensure that your hair does not get damaged.'RATE IT
