Remedies for damp weather hair frizz
Stylist to the stars, Paul Edmonds, reveals some simple steps to ensure you don't look like a yeti when leaving the house under a rain cloud
1. Use a shampoo such as Kerastase Olio Relax shampoo and conditioner; this softens the inner core of the hair, making it easier to control.
2. Use one of the new varieties of relaxing or straightening balms such as Redken Straight Line. This will not make your hair greasy or lank, but will help stop humidity getting inside your hairstyle and fluffing it up.
3. Overlay the balm with a few drops of serum. My favourite is Redken Heat Glide which, as the name suggests, is great when using electric appliances on your hair. When drying the hair, make sure you go through it twice to ensure it is completely dry.
4. The final protection, once the hair is dry, can be one of two things. On dry and longer hair use a few drops of serum such as Kerastase Olio Relax serum. On shorter or finer hair try L'Oreal Techni art anti-frizz hairspray.
