Fake break: mending artificial nails
What can I do if I break an artificial nail?
When artificial nails crack or split, using nail glue or mending tape is your best solution. Dab a bit of nail glue onto a small piece of a tea bag or coffee filter paper, then cover the nail where it is torn. File the nail smooth, and cover it with polish if you like. This should last until you can get to the salon to have it properly mended.
When a nail tip falls off, you can glue it back on with nail glue. However, be sure to make an appointment with your nail technician so that it can be filled in. This is necessary to avoid mildew forming beneath the nail.
