What does it involve?
The first part of this three-part treatment was a full body exfoliation using Aroma Akta Turkish Salt Scrub, containing eucalyptus mixed with Lavender body oil.
After showering off the salt scrub, I lay down on my front while my therapist placed hot stones either side of my sacrum, covered with a towel. The stones were slowly pressed downwards toward sacrum on either side of the spine, sliding out to each side and then back up to the neck. She then gently massaged my legs and back using a Lavender Body Spray oil.
Next, I turned over onto my back and a lavender eye pillow was placed over my eyes. My therapist then drizzled warm lavender oil over my scalp and used her fingers to massage and work it through my hair. Finally, she massaged my arms and feet with the lavender body spray.
I was then brought refreshments of herbal tea and water and left to doze on a separate bed in the same room when the treatment was finished, which was a welcome touch.
The results
Apart from smelling divine and feeling completely relaxed, this treatment did wonders for my hair and scalp. I left the oil in my hair for the rest of the night to give it a chance to absorb and washed it out the next day when it felt much softer and sleeker. Overall, the skin on my body felt and looked smoother and more hydrated.
