Wrapping yourself in seaweed may not be your idea of a good time but it's reputed to get rid of cellulite. Ronita Dutta tried it out
What is it?
This purifying seaweed wrap using Daniel de Winter's re-mineralising, detoxifying seaweed wrap is a 70 minute treatment targeted at reducing cellulite as well as firming up and tightening the body contours.
What happens?
Daniele de Winter treatments take an inside and out approach to beauty, so before the start of the treatment I was given an antioxident rich drink known as Shot Beauté containing natural antioxidants and enzymes such as Hawaiian noni, acerola, Polish cranberry and blueberry.
The treatment began with a gentle foot cleanse before I lay down to enjoy a full body exfoliation followed by the application of the re-mineralising seaweed masque. I was then wrapped in a warm towel from top to toe and while the masque worked its magic my therapist performed a delightful Indian head massage.
I was then asked to shower off the mask after which soothing Contours de Liane Anti-cellulite body oil was applied in gentle massaging strokes all over my body. The treatment was rounded off by another Shot Beauté.
The results
Apart from feeling relaxed and rested, I did notice the skin on my body - particularly by thighs and buttocks appear smoother. The wrap was also good for relieving water retention.
