For Sale board TOS and Privacy Policy

Please remember that listings are posted by those offering items for sale and NOT by iVillage.

Sellers and buyers are solely responsible for any transactions they may enter into. All transactions resulting from listings on the iVillage For Sale board must be consistent with any applicable laws and regulations and with these rules.

Removal; discontinuation. iVillage reserve the right to reject or remove any listing that is not consistent with iVillage's policies or the law, if iVillage believe the seller or listing may violate the rights of others, or for any other reason. iVillage also reserve the right to suspend or discontinue the For Sale board at any time for any reason.

Transaction responsibility. iVillage provides the For Sale board as a service for our community to communicate with each other. iVillage does not participate in, nor is it a party to, any transactions which may result. iVillage does not screen or control those who choose to participate and does not review or verify the content of listings or the products offered. Sellers and buyers are solely responsible for agreeing upon and complying with the terms of their transactions. Sellers and buyers are solely responsible for resolving any disputes arising from transactions. Use reasonable care throughout your dealings with people participating in the iVillage For Sale board.

Compliance with laws; taxes; costs. Sellers and buyers are solely responsible for complying with all applicable laws, regulations or restrictions related to products offered and transactions which take place. Sellers and buyers are responsible for all applicable taxes and costs incurred by participating in the iVillage For Sale board.

Privacy. Information listed on the iVillage For Sale board is at the sole risk of the person posting it. Such information will be used by iVillage in accordance with the Privacy Policy of this site. iVillage cannot be responsible for any use of listed information available to public viewing by third parties.

Fraud. You may not use this service for any fraudulent activity or purpose, including, but not limited to, collecting payment and not providing the item or service purchased, providing a product or service which does not have the quality or characteristics described in the listing for it, intentionally including false or misleading claims in listings, or filing false claims.

Obstruction and abuse. You may not spam or create an unreasonably large volume of content on our site. You may not put any material on the iVillage For Sale board that contains any viruses, Trojan horses, worms, time bombs, cancelbots or other computer programming devices that may damage, interfere with, surreptitiously intercept or expropriate any system, data or personal information. You may not solicit or contact the iVillage For Sale users for any reason other than to pursue a transaction related to a listing.

Passwords. You are solely responsible for actions taken using your password and should take all necessary precautions not to disclose it to anyone.

Rule changes. iVillage, in its sole discretion, may change these rules at any time without notice.
