She's perfection personified but she keeps a superior eye on all the latest beauty products for you, the humble reader.
Brace yourselves, hair product fanatics!
If you have hair and you like to know about things way before they happen then listen up Muckettes because I have news! The man responsible for red carpet hair at the BAFTAs and all-time lock legend Charles Worthington is re-launching his entire haircare range. But not until May.
This is big news, why? Because it costs a lot of money for starters. Young Charles is obviously doing well and I’m all for it. His salon colours are the best I’ve ever had. It’s also at a time when there are whisperings of other well-known hairdressers doing the same. Mark Hill has recently relaunched his range and I’m certain, unless Chinese whispers have got the better of me, that there’s talk of Trevor Sorbie shaking up his line of products too.
We’re not talking about just a few new products here, though. The existing CW Salon Results range has been put under serious scrutiny, and the products that weren’t performing – vamoosh! They’ll be gone forever. Of course, the favourites are staying put – they’d be crazy to bin the Volume & Bounce Body Booster Mousse, but in addition there’ll be 53 new products, starting from just £5.99 and including everything from Backcomb Powder and Colour Shield Spray to a Moisture Sealer Leave-In Conditioner and Style Setter Brush Out Strong Hold Spray which will be amazing for updos and waves.

The packaging is sleeker too, it looks more premium and you wouldn’t be shy in having it on display in your bathroom. And it smells good. According to Charles, getting the fragrance right was incredibly important, citing that he wants his clients and consumers to be taken on a journey when they use his products. I know this because he told Tim Vincent. Remember, the Blue Peter presenter? Anyway, at the relaunch it was him who grilled Charles on his new range. I’m sure you’re all pondering over the random choice as much as I was.
But that’s by the by. One thing I got immediately excited about was the Longer and Stronger Hair Masque. Finally, someone has realised that a screw-top tub of hair mask is as impractical as you can get. Trying to prize the lid open with wet hands only to see the tub fill up with shower water while you dollop it on your hair is disconcerting and an effort. So what has Charles done? He’s created a mask with a flip-lid so easy to use you could pop it open with your big toe. Probably not advisable though.
According to Charles, his number one from his new range is the Intense Rescue Melting Balm that’s super nourishing and rich in Argan Oil so you can reboot your hair back to its beautiful self. He also recommended that those off on their hols pack the Miracle Repair Elixir Oil and just pop some in with your conditioner for a quick on-the-hop hair treatment. Will do.
The other big news that Tim brought our attention to was that for the first time ever, there’s going to be a face to the campaign – British actress, Alice Eve. You know, the one that was put under the style spotlight on Sunday night after the press took a unanimous ‘we don’t like it’ vote against her black ‘flame’ inspired BAFTA dress.

They can’t knock her hair though. A gorgeous glossy blonde, the actress who stars in the new Star Trek film and played the lead in She’s Out of My League, looks a million dollars in the advertising. Look out for her face on billboards and advertising soon because in my opinion this new range can’t land quick enough.
