A simple but effective starter for an informal dinner party, from iVillager sa_mumof1
Ingredients
- 6 sheets filo pastry
- about 50g butter, melted
- 1 large round of Camembert cheese (about 245g)
- 12 peaches, sliced (or 1 can peach slices)
- 2 tbsp redcurrant jam or jelly

- Lightly butter a sheet of filo pastry. Place another sheet on top and butter this. Repeat with a third sheet.
- Place the whole Camembert on top, in the centre of the pastry.
- Arrange peach slices over the top of the cheese. Top this with a thin layer of jam or jelly.
- Place three sheets of buttered pastry on top. Crimp the edges of the pastry together, encasing the cheese and fruit.
- Bake the pastry following packet instructions. Serve on a large plate and let your guests cut themselves a slice.
- For a light lunch, serve with a crisp herb salad and a glass or two of Chardonnay.
