Delicious burgers with a chilli kick
 

Ingredients

  • 2 rashers Red Tractor streaky bacon, chopped
  • 1 Red Tractor tomato, chopped
  • 2tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 450g Red Tractor extra lean minced beef
  • 1tbsp tomato puree
  • For the relish
  • 1 Red Tractor red pepper, deseeded and diced
  • 2 Red Tractor tomatoes, deseeded and diced
  • 1 Red Tractor small onion, chopped
  • 2 tbsp tomato ketchup
  • 1tsp vinegar
  • 1tbsp Red Tractor parsley, chopped
  • To serve

Directions

  1. Dry fry the bacon for a few minutes until it is just beginning to crisp. Add the chopped tomatoes and cook for minutes. Stir in the Cajun seasoning.
  2. Place the mince in a bowl and add the bacon mixture and puree. Season well and squish the mixture together. Divide into and shape into patties.
  3. Grill on a ridged griddle or under the grill for minutes.
  4. Meanwhile, make the relish: throw the relish ingredients into a food processor and process for a few seconds.
  5. Serve the burger on a bagel with the relish, salad and chunky potato wedges.
