Chocolate Marshmallow Brownies

If you have a sweet tooth, finding low-fat options can be difficult. Here, Luscious Low-fat Cafe founders Alison Rose and Tony Guy share their scrumptious chocolate marshmallow dessert ? go on, it's only 95 cals
 

Ingredients

  • 75g self-raising flour
  • 4 tbsp low-fat cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 4 egg whites
  • 75g caster sugar
  • 1 tbsp vanilla essence
  • 100g marshmallows

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to //gas mark Grease a non-stick cm x cm baking tin.
  2. Sift the flour, cocoa powder and baking powder into a bowl, add the salt and mix together.
  3. Beat the egg whites until stiff and then beat in the sugar. Add the vanilla essence and then mix in the marshmallows.
  4. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking tin and bake in the oven for to minutes. It is cooked when no moisture attaches to a toothpick stuck into the mixture. Allow to cool slightly before dividing into brownie-sized pieces and removing from the pan.
