Ingredients
- 250g (8oz) butter, softened
- 125g (4oz) unbleached caster sugar
- 320g (10 1/2oz) plain flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 30g (1oz) cocoa powder

- Preheat the oven to //Gas mark In a bowl, beat the butter and sugar together until soft and creamy. Add the flour and salt and sieve over the cocoa powder. Carefully mix together and then beat until well combined.
- Press into an x -cm (x -in) oblong cake tin. Prick all over with a fork and bake in the oven for about hour until firm. Cut into fingers while warm and allow to cool in the tin.
