Perfect for: Triple chocolate millionaire's shortbread
 

Ingredients

  • 250g (8oz) butter, softened
  • 125g (4oz) unbleached caster sugar
  • 320g (10 1/2oz) plain flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 30g (1oz) cocoa powder
Serves: 24       whats this
 

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to //Gas mark In a bowl, beat the butter and sugar together until soft and creamy. Add the flour and salt and sieve over the cocoa powder. Carefully mix together and then beat until well combined.
  2. Press into an x -cm (x -in) oblong cake tin. Prick all over with a fork and bake in the oven for about hour until firm. Cut into fingers while warm and allow to cool in the tin.
