Though the largest Mediterranean island after Sicily and Sardinia, Cyprus is a relatively small island occupying just 9,250 sq kms and easily navigable by car. Even a relatively short five-day break here can easily be split between the beautiful beaches and lush temperate mountains.

So, after experiencing a traditional Greek Orthodox wedding in the glorious setting of the lush Troodos mountains we headed to Pissouri Bay for a spot of pampering at the luxurious Columbia Beach Resort.

Setting

Located on a the picturesque bay of Pissouri, the Columbia Beach Resort is framed against stunning white cliffs. Its beachside location is perfect for summer evening strolls amid the immaculately maintained grounds - (often used for wedding parties) awash during our stay with bougainvillaea and jasmine.

Facilities

With its own private beach, 80 metre-long lagoon style outdoor pool, private chapel, award-winning spa, gym, yoga & fitness courses, and numerous bars and eateries, there's very little reason to leave the environs of the resort once you've checked in unless you're feeling adventurous.
