The A-list ladies looking swell

continued from page 2

Scarlett Johnasson

Scarlett Johansson Scarlett's hourglass figure has captivated men across the world, and the fact she is so comfortable in her own skin has impressed women too. Although young, the Black Dahlia star was described by Woody Allen as 'sexually overwhelming' because of her ripe body.

Food philosophy

'Americans are overly obsessed with weight,' says Scarlett. 'I don't understand this obsession for being stick-thin. I could never be like that; it's just not my body shape. I would never stress about losing my curves, because curves are what make women look like women. They are what make you look sexy.'

Looking good

Scarlett, who lives in New York with boyfriend Josh Hartnett, loves walking and tennis but shuns the gym. 'I am normal. I have "fat days" and it's hard not to feel pressure in this industry,' she admits. 'I'm never going to be 5'11' and 120 pounds but I feel lucky to have what I've got. I'm very comfortable with my body and I'm proud of my breasts! I'm not really the type of girl who goes to the gym for three hours a day and gets up to go jogging at 6am, but I eat well and I walk a lot.'

Top treats

Her favourite food is pepperoni pizza or a turkey burger and chips, but the Lost In Translation beauty's tip is simple: 'Only eat half!'

Halle Berry

Halle Berry Being a gymnast when she was younger has helped 39-year-old Halle stay in great shape over the years, and being fit and healthy is part of her strategy to keep her 36-22-37 curves intact. Voted one of the sexiest Bond girls ever for her role as orange bikini-clad Jinx, the Oscar-winning actress has dared to bare in several films, including Swordfish and Monster's Ball.

Food philosophy

'Diabetes turned out to be a gift,' says Halle, who was diagnosed with the illness 17 years ago. 'It gave me strength and toughness because I had to face reality, no matter how uncomfortable or painful it was. I started to eat loads of wonderful fresh vegetables, chicken, fresh fish and pasta.'

Looking good

Built like a real woman, Halle is also proud to be redefining what it means to be 'hot'. 'For so many years, black women have been desexualised,' she says. 'If you weren't blonde with blue eyes, then you weren't sexy in America. I think it's starting to change. For a long time I battled trying to feel sexy because I didn't think I was.'

There have only been a few roles where Halle has played up to her amazing form. 'It is very sexy, feels good and makes you feel very confident,' she said of her Catwoman outfit, which drew more praise than the film itself. 'You have to look your best in it because it hides nothing, and you have to be curvy to wear it.'

Top treats

'I have a real weakness for hamburgers and Diet Coke,' she admits. 'I do eat healthily but I can't resist a burger and a Coke. I drink Diet Coke all day long. Other people drink water, I drink Coke.'
