Can green tea help lower cholesterol levels?
I've heard that green tea helps reduce cholesterol levels. Is this true?
Some scientific studies have shown that green tea lowers cholesterol levels in people who consume large quantities of the tea, but there is certainly no definitive evidence that it reduces cholesterol levels. Another reason you may want to drink green tea, however, is its possible role in cancer prevention, which is currently under study.
