Five ways to get your diet started
1. Find a diary. Choose a notebook that suits your lifestyle (in other words, don't choose a big bulky book if you've got to carry it around in a small handbag). For a successful diet it's important to be aware of everything you eat in order to control what you consume. The notebook is going to be a big part of your life for the next few weeks, so pick a special one that you really like.
2. Make the commitment. Put a copy of the diet commitment contract into your diary. Referring back to it will help you remember why you started to change your eating habits, in case you're ever tempted to give up.
3. Clear out your cupboards. Throw away any unhealthy foods that may tempt you and toss out foods that you never eat. Look at Recommended food list for some great ideas of what to stock up on.
4. Get ready to make a lifestyle change. From here on in, healthy eating is going to be part of your life forever. Think of it as something to look forward to.
5. Get ready to chat. Get inspiration from other women trying to slim down on the You Can Do It diet support message board.
