Easter Wonderland at Colchester Zoo
1-18 April
9.30am-6pm
Take a walk through the Easter Wonderland, visit all the newly-born animals and enjoy the enchanting Easter scenes. Don't miss the eggs hatching at the Familiar Friends farm area and enjoy the egg-citing shows at the Wild about Animals Theatre and at the Displays Arena. You can even dance with the Easter Bunny to all your favourite songs!

Easter Bank Holiday Weekend at Wisley Gardens, Woking
2-5 April
10am-6pm
Pay a family visit to Wisley during the Easter break and enjoy the glorious spring bulb displays and orchids in the Glasshouse, or take the self-guided Family Easter Trail. Can you follow the clues to find the missing word and claim your prize? (Prize is for children under 16 only).

Easter at Weald & Downland Open Air Museum, Chichester
4-5, 7 and 14 April
11am-4pm
Two days of activities and Easter celebrations on 4 and 5 April, with a bonnet competition and parade on the Monday. Spring is in the air with newborn lambs to meet and horses at work on seasonal tasks. Wednesdays 7 & 14 April offer hands-on activities, crafts and games to occupy accompanied children of all ages.

Spring into Easter at Leeds Castle, Kent
2-5 April
10am-5pm (last entry 3pm)
There's a feeling of celebration spring at the castle, with Easter bonnet making in a craft marquee and an Easter egg trail through the grounds leading to the Bunny Burrows. (There is a small additional £2 charge for the children's craft activities and trail.)

The Annual Easter Egg Hunt at Birdworld, Farnham
7 April
11am-4pm
Percy the Penguin and friends invite you to join in the fun at this year's Easter Egg Hunt, which will take you all around the Park (usual entry prices apply). Successful participants will be rewarded! Join in the free craft activity, and you may even spot Percy making a little something. There's also face painting, and a bouncy castle (weather permitting). Separate charges apply.

Shakespeare Theatre Project at the New Theatre Royal, Portsmouth
6-9 April
Ages 13-17
A week-long Easter workshop exploring and performing in The Taming of the Shrew! An opportunity to learn comic techniques and discuss themes from the play. See how relevant the themes of the play are in today's world, eg women's rights, rivalry and attitudes to marriage. No need to have read the script in advance. Take part in a short performance in the theatre at the end.
