Brits across the nation are invited to create and celebrate their own intense tasting moments – because when it comes to food, it’s all about the taste! Seriously® Strong cheddar can intensify any taste experience – as a staple on the cheese board, as part of a tasty lunch, or as an ingredient in delicious recipes.
The competition comes as last week, successful TV chef and food writer Paul Merrett unveiled the ‘World’s Largest Ploughman’s Lunch’ by Seriously® Strong in a Guinness World Records® Record attempt at the Foodies Festival.
The colossal piece of edible food art was made up of over 1 tonne of Seriously® Strong intense tasting cheddar, 160 bloomers, 21 kilos of lettuce, 60 kilos of tomatoes, 1,500 spring onions, 6,500 pickled onions, 100 litres of pickle, and 175 kilos of butter. Food artists and specialist set builders took over 400 man hours to design and build the World Record breaking ploughman’s.
Merrett is on a mission to ‘bring back’ the Great British Ploughman’s lunch, by encouraging Brits to not only enjoy the iconic dish in the pub, but create their very own Ploughman’s to share with friends and family at home.
