Easter & St George’s Day at Blists Victorian Town, Telford
What: There’s so much going on at the recreated Victorian town, which is just one of 10 museums in the Ironbridge Gorge Museum Trust. There’s a ‘hunt-the-chick’ competition; Victorian blindfold ‘egg dancing’; a sing-along in the New Inn Public House and hands-on workshops, as well as performances by the world renowned Kaleidoscope Theatre Company. There’s the Easter Parade at 2pm in the Pleasure Gardens with prizes for the best bonnets, while everyone taking part will receive a small Easter egg, regardless of age. Patron saint, St George, will also be commemorated with two open-air performances of St George and the Dragon each day.

The Great Peter Rabbit Easter Egg Hunt, Bowness-on-Windermere
What: The Lake District is set to host the North of England’s biggest Easter egg hunt. Children and adults will be able to join the search for 100 ceramic Easter eggs across the Lake District from Thursday 21st April, 2011 until all the eggs are found. The Great Peter Rabbit Easter Egg Hunt will cover more than 2,600 square miles, so thousands of people will be able to take part, with 10 of the eggs having very special prizes linked to them.
