From this hub of activity, visitors are invited into the house dressed for a traditional Victorian Christmas. Festooned with foliage and hand crafted Victorian style decorations, the visit will introduce a different element to the usual experience in inviting people to engage their senses through music and atmospheric sets....and even the opportunity to sit down on some of those usually thistle bound seats! A traditional English Green Father Christmas in his winter sitting room will be receiving visitors over both the weekends. The journey through the house draws to close in the saloon. Greeted by a floor to ceiling Christmas tree and roaring log fire, visitors can pause for a moment and listen to a few bars of their favourite carols being played on the baby grand piano before heading back out into the courtyard.
