  1. Consider herbal remedies. Herbs like kawa-kawa, valerian, St. John's Wort and camomile show promise as anxiety relievers. Be sure to check with your doctor before using any of these, particularly if you are on other medications, pregnant or nursing.
  2. Exercise. It's not a food, but this is a sure prescription for reducing stress. Physical activity is the one of the best all-natural ways to reduce anxiety by relieving muscle tension, reducing blood pressure and - if prolonged - producing endorphins that make you feel relaxed.
