What to drink

Welcome your guests with glasses of cold, cold Prosecco Raboso (£7.99, Marks & Spencer) - pink Prosecco that's bubbling with raspberry fruit. Fizz at a great price.

With the food bring out the soft and juicy red Taste the Difference Argentinian Malbec 2006 (£6.99). For a white, chill down Vin de Pay des Cotes de Gascogne NV (£3.69, both Sainsbury's).

For sheer indulgence pair the Pavlova with the lightly honeyed Moscatel de Valencia NV (£3.58, Tesco). Serve cold.
