Every year Tesco Time to Care Appeal adopts a national charity with a strong community presence to be its Charity of the Year. This year's chosen charity is Help the Hospices and the aim is to raise £3 million for the UK's local hospices. By taking part in the Wine at 9 campaign you can do your bit and have a great time.

Tips and ideas for holding your own Wine at 9 event
There are many ways to hold a Wine at 9 event from simply getting together a group of colleagues or friends at a local watering hole and asking everyone to give an affordable donation to throwing a themed party with lots of wine on offer. Try one of these 4 fun party ideas we've developed specifically for Wine at 9. Most importantly remember to have fun along the way, but please don't drink and drive.

How do I raise money?
Ask for a donation for a glass of wine, ask for a donation for a wine tasting, organise a wine quiz to test your colleagues/friends. Have a wine raffle, hold an auction, have a wine-tasting competition, sponsor someone to be a sommelier at your event.
