Wine of the week:
Goats Do Roam
![]() |
Like its (sort of) namesake Côtes du Rhône, Goats Do Roam is a dry red wine, but the comparison ends there. In typical New World style, this medium bodied South African red from the Cape is packed with soft-red-fruit flavours and has a spicy finish. This unusual blend of seven grapes creates an easy-drinking wine that still manages to maintain some complexity.
For under a fiver, this is an excellent well-rounded wine that tastes like it cost double the price. It goes perfectly with light meat dishes, stands up to spicy food, and is approachable enough to drink alone.
Like the perfect dinner party guest, Goats Do Roam is easy going, happy with any food and witty to boot.
