Hansel and Gretel's Spare Ribs

Give your trick or treaters a real suprise: feed them the rib bones of fairytale children

INGREDIENTS:

Hansel & Gretel's Spare Ribs675g American-style spare ribs
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp English mustard
1 tbsp tomato ketchup
1 tbsp honey
1 medium onion, finely chopped
salt and freshly ground black pepper


PREPARATION:

Hansel & Gretel's Spare Ribs1. Preheat oven to 220/425/gas mark 7.

2. Place the ribs in a roasting tin.

3. Mix all the remaining ingredients together, and with a knife paste the ribs with the mixture.

4. Place the ribs in the oven and cook for approx 1 1/2 hours, turning every half hour, and basting them with the juices.

NB. These must be well cooked and crunchy.
