Rosemary Massage Oil

A make-at-home massage oil for easing aches, pains and joint problems

INGREDIENTS:

2 packets fresh rosemary
100ml olive oil (preferably organic)

You will also need 1 dark-glass jar or bottle, thoroughly sterilised in a dishwasher (or washed in soapy water, rinsed, dried and heated in a low oven)


PREPARATION:
1. Wash and finely chop 1 packet of rosemary. Place it in a heat-proof bowl and cover with the oil.

2. Place the bowl over a pan of boiling water and heat for 1 hour. Remove from the heat and strain.

3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 using the second pack of rosemary but the same oil.

4. Allow the oil to cool. Pour into the dark-glass container and label. It will keep for one year.

Variations: You can also add products from the bathroom cabinet such as 20ml arnica oil, 3 drops of rosemary essential oil, or 3 drops of lavender essential oil.

Note: Not suitable for babies, children, pregnant and nursing mothers, or those with high blood pressure.
