Hot Ginger Punch

This alternative to hot chocolate is very warming, and is popular with children. Adults will like it too, perhaps with a shot or two of brandy or whisky

INGREDIENTS:

1 cup of milk
1cm piece fresh ginger, finely grated, or ½ tsp dried ginger
sugar to taste


PREPARATION:
1. Heat milk gently in a pan.

2. Add the ginger and 1 or 2 tsp sugar to taste.

3. Just before serving, use a whisk to make the milk frothy.
