Authentic Teriyake Sauce

One of the distinguishing flavours of Japanese cuisine, this delicious sauce is commonly enjoyed with seafood, chicken and Japanese vegetables

INGREDIENTS:

120ml mirin
120ml soy sauce
120ml sake
50g sugar


PREPARATION:
Boil the mirin in a saucepan to remove the alcohol. Add the remaining ingredients and simmer until reduced by half.

This sauce should be served warm, so use immediately. It can be kept in the refrigerator for up to one week, but take when reheating not to burn it.
