Garlic and mushroom burgers

These tasty burgers are ideal for a kid's meal and are perfect for vegetarians

INGREDIENTS:

mushroom burgers4 portobello or field
mushrooms, stalks trimmed
1 tsp sunflower oil
50g gruyere, grated
1 clove of garlic, crushed
1 tbsp soft butter
4 ciabatta or burger buns, split and toasted


PREPARATION:
1 GRILL THE MUSHROOMS

Turn the grill to High. Rub the mushrooms with the oil and set on a baking sheet. Grill for 3 mins on each side until cooked, but still firm.

2 ADD THE CHEESE

Mix the cheese, garlic and butter in a bowl and

season, then spoon into the mushrooms. Grill until the cheese melts, then stuff into toasted buns.

SERVE the burgers topped with lettuce, tomatoes and slices of red onion
