Fran Warde reveals simple and celebratory food

Our Cook of the Month for January is Fran Warde, author of eat drink live (Ryland Peters and Small), a fabulous new cookbook with a refreshingly simple and celebratory take on food and cooking.

Fran’s experience is vast – she’s worked as a professional chef all over the world, set up her own cookery school and catering business and worked as Food Editor of Red magazine – but her philosophy is simple. She believes in giving people ‘the confidence to cook and laugh in their own kitchens’ and to explore food as one of the simple pleasures of everyday life – something to be enjoyed without being fussed over.

As we see off yet another season of overeating and long hours chained
to the stove, we all need a little encouragement to get back into the kitchen. Fran’s indulgent, down-to-earth recipes may be just the thing to get us all cooking again. Enjoy.
