Hair should either have been washed the previous day or already set on heated rollers. Smooth the hair down to the nape and put firmly into an elastic.
Taking the hair into separate sub-sections, backcomb gently from root to tip.
Once backcombed, smooth over the top of the hair ensuring that there are no lumps. Spray with a little light hairspray.
Push the client's head as far forward as possible and flip the hair over towards the forehead.
Pin the hair against the head in a semi-circular shape. Once the pins are secure, bring the client's head back to the normal position.
Smooth the hair with a soft brush and tuck it round and under into a roll in the middle.
Pin the hair into place with prong pins wherever needed.
Smooth the hair and tuck the ends under on each side, blending with the middle section and pinning with prong pins all round to secure.
Lightly spray with hairspray and make sure all the hair is secure, smoothing and finishing where needed.
Backcomb and style the fringe area, if needed, securing with hairspray once smoothed and in place.
