I hate my body

by Susie Orbach

question

I hate my body. When I get out of the shower, all I can see is someone with huge breasts (I'm a 34F), a huge, disgusting backside and huge, tree-trunk legs that are all lumpy with cellulite. It's affecting my confidence in the bedroom with my fiancé.

With a bra, I quite like my breasts as they are probably my best asset, it's my backside and my legs that I don't like. I don't like fruit or veg (apart from strawberries) and don't eat well either. Probably the only exercise I do is walking to and from work everyday (which takes me about five to seven minutes) and going up and down stairs at work when I need to but that's it.

It's really getting me down and depressed and I need help...

answer

Walking is good! Can you try to increase it? It will really make a difference to how you feel about your body inside and out.

As for cellulite - who doesn't have it? It is part of so many women's experience and many people get it at adolescence. It is not a crime or even a blemish - just part of our bodies. And as for your magnificent sounding breasts, if you really hate them drooping without a bra, there is only exercise to help. Those things called press-ups!

This is your only body so it is worth befriending it...
