Weird blackouts

I've been experiencing a few weird blackouts and it's happened twice in the last few months. One was just recent - I went all sickly and everything went blurry and black and white, and I started to get hot and bothered - it lasted for a few minutes. What could be the cause of this?

A number of things can cause blackouts, including simple faints. It isn't possible to know the cause without having a full check-up however, so do make an appointment to see your doctor. He or she can ask relevant questions, examine you and check your blood pressure and urine. They can also request any blood tests to rule out conditions such as anaemia. Don't be scared of seeing your doctor - it's important to find out what's causing your attacks.
