Bladder irritation
As I finish passing urine, I get a strange feeling as though I may still need to go, but I don't. It doesn't hurt or feel like a burning sensation, but is slightly uncomfortable. I thought it may be cystitis and used some medication, but the symptoms are still there, and have been for about five days. Could it be a urinary infection? Do I need to see my GP, or can I get something over the counter?
You may have some irritation of the neck of the bladder, which is producing this sensation. Do take a sample of urine to your GP and have it checked to rule out cystitis. Drink plenty of fluids (preferably water) and avoid tea and coffee to see if this helps. Drinking 300ml cranberry juice daily helps to overcome urinary infections, but may make an irritable bladder worse, so stop drinking it if symptoms don't seem to improve.
