Remedies for bikini-line boils
I have an ingrown hair on my bikini line that has turned into a huge spot. It is very red and throbs constantly. Can you recommend anything for it?
If a spot has become this infected, it is classed as a boil. Do see your GP, who can either lance it with a sterile needle to release the pus and/or prescribe antibiotics.
Applying a poultice made out of Manuka honey is a popular complementary way to treat boils - but only do this after your GP has determined whether or not antibiotics are needed. If you start to feel feverish or unwell, seek medical advice as soon as possible.
