Is this rash rosacea?
I have a very red and dry area around my nose. My doctor has prescribed creams, one several years ago - which didn't make a difference - and now a second last month (Daktacort). This has helped the dryness, but not the redness. Is it worth going back and trying something else?
As symptoms are recurring and haven't improved with treatment, your doctor will want to know. A persistent skin irritation like this is sometimes a sign of rosacea, an allergic reaction, eczema, or even a hormone imbalance. If your doctor cannot improve things, he or she may consider referring you to a dermatologist.
