Headaches over one eye

I have been suffering from really bad headaches recently. They tend to start at the top of my head, then go over one eye.

answer
It sounds as if you might have migraine. As the headaches are recurrent you do need to see your doctor to have the symptoms properly diagnosed and to have any necessary tests to rule out other causes. Once you have the proper diagnosis, it is easier (and safer!) to suggest self help approaches such as dietary and herbal remedies.
