Not a good idea to mix drugs
Is it safe to take Ionamin while taking Sertraline? Im currently taking Sertraline for mild depression but since beginning the treatment I have put on half a stone. In the past I have taken Ionamin and found it worked brilliantly for me. Is it safe to take the two together or would there be any adverse side effects?
I hope that the excellent anti-depressant drug Sertraline is working for you, and that youll soon be feeling yourself. I can understand that you would like to bring your body as well as your feelings back to an acceptable level, but it would not be a good idea to take any of the appetite suppressant agents as a cocktail of medication. There can sometimes be an unpredictable reaction.
I would also mention that Ionamin was actually withdrawn by the suppliers in May 2000, so it is now not available for prescribing. Any old stock that you might have kept should therefore be destroyed.
